Smart working: new extension for fragile workers and parents

Extension until 31 March 2023 for fragile workers and parents of under 14 children regarding smart working. The government is working for it. An extension of the right to agile work for fragile workers at risk of health and for those with children under 14. In the first case, these are workers who, according to medical certification, are immunosuppressed, cancer patients, seriously disabled, or with ongoing life-saving therapies. 

 

The real news concerns parents of children under the age of 14 . This provided that their duties are not incompatible with smart working. Another criterion to be met is that the other parent is employed, therefore in layoffs or a user of Naspi. The discussion is still open on the extension, we’ll see how it ends. The parties make an initial request to extend smart working for frail people and parents of under 14s until 31 March 2023. 

There is an open discussion to extend the deadline to December 31, 2023 . A decision that unfortunately has a tight schedule, so it must be taken very soon. Always if the deadline for the last extension declared by the Aiuti bis decree for the two categories will remain on December 31, 2022.
