At THQ Nordic’s Showcase 2022, Alone in the Dark, the reboot of the historic 90s survival horror, was presented. Let’s see the announcement trailer.
The announcement had already been anticipated several hours ago by several leaks, including one of the now infallible insider the Snitch who with a tweet had hinted at the return of the series, quoting one of the famous phrases from the film dedicated to the game: “ Being afraid of the dark is what keeps most of us alive “.
At the moment we have very little information. We only know that the story of Alone in the Dark will transport us to the America of the 1920s to re-assume the role of Edward Carnby, a private investigator hired by Emily Hartwood to find her uncle.

Return to Derceto Manor in this reimagining of Alone in the Dark, a love letter to the classic 1990s cult horror game. After learning that her uncle is missing, Emily Hartwood goes in search of her with the help of private investigator Edward Carnby. Arriving at Derceto Manor, home for the mentally unstable, they encounter strange residents, portals to nightmare worlds, dangerous monsters, and finally must stop a plan to summon the evil one.
Alone in the Dark doesn’t have a release date yet . It will arrive on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series S / X.
