Ubisoft is shutting down the servers of its old games on September 1

The day has come when Ubisoft will shut down the servers of a total of 15 old games, including some Assassin’s Creed games.

In the past months , Ubisoft , one of the most established companies in the game world, has announced that it will close the servers of some of its old games, although the players do not want to accept it . That day has almost come. As of September 1, the company will restrict access to online mods and some DLCs for 15 of its legacy games, including several Assassin’s Creed games.

There is only one reason why the company does this. Increasing server costs and better and more efficient use of the income from this resource usage. It is useful to remind you that you can play the mentioned old games offline whenever you want, that is, as a single.

We should use our resources to focus on delivering great experiences for players playing newer or more popular games.

Also, Units and Challenges will be disabled for users who own these older games via Ubisoft Connect . This means that players will not be able to gain new achievements when they complete any mission. Finally, additional content such as maps and skins for the aforementioned old games will be restricted.
