Sleeping: how to promote a good night’s rest

The importance of night rest is widely known. As you know, night rest is essential, not only to face the new day, but also to regenerate and, why not, to be more beautiful. During sleep, the stress hormone cortisol is inhibited and this allows you to relax and also allows your skin to do so.

Furthermore, when we sleep, there is a greater production of collagen which makes your skin more elastic and the production of melatonin which helps you fight the damage caused by free radicals and has an anti-inflammatory effect .

Of course this doesn’t mean that you stop and that you don’t have to do anything to encourage these natural processes. There are in fact some small tricks that you can put in place before going to bed and in everyday life to promote sleep and wake up more beautiful.

  • Lukewarm shower

Let’s start with the lukewarm shower: taking one , a couple of hours before bedtime, helps you relax and promotes sleep. Furthermore, water at a certain temperature helps you to open the clogged pores of the skin and, therefore, contributes to the elimination of impurities.

  •  Sport

Practicing sports is good, because it activates blood circulation, but not only; think that your face can also benefit from it. The important thing is to practice it in the morning or in the afternoon, never late at night, because the body could be more reactive and you could have difficulty falling asleep.

  • Air conditioning

Pay close attention to air conditioning, as it contributes to skin dehydration and excessive humidity in the room you sleep in can lead to more sweating and various redness and pimples.

  • Evening skin care

Last but not least, do not forget to do the  evening skin care : every night remove make-up with a cleansing milk and then a tonic (to be used also in the morning as soon as you wake up) and put your cream on. At least twice a week do a light  face scrub  to clean it well.
