Lafarge, who supports Daesh, will pay fine

French cement giant Lafarge accepted the accusations that he supported the terrorist organization DAESH by keeping a factory operational during the Syrian civil war.

The U.S. Department of Justice agreed to pay Lafarge $778 million in fines .

‘WE ARE SO SORRY’

“In the midst of the civil war, Lafarge made the choice to give money to ISIS, one of the most barbaric terrorist organizations in the world, in order to continue selling cement,” the US Department Of Justice Said In A Statement. A statement released by Lafarge SA and its defunct subsidiary in Syria said: “We plead guilty to conspiracy to provide material support to foreign terrorist organizations identified in Syria from August 2013 to October 2014. These actions are flagrant violations of LaFarge’s principles. We are very sorry that this incident happened. We collaborated with the US Department of Justice for a solution.”

ERDOĞAN WAS WARNED

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said at the AK Party FMC meeting last year, “I told Emmanuel Macron and many leaders in Europe that French Lafarge bribed DAESH and financed terrorism. However, they always ignored it.”

Despite The Civil War That Started In Syria In March 2011, Lafarge continued its activities at the facility in Çelebiye, located in the northeast of Aleppo, 20 km from the Turkish border. The company paid tribute to DAESH and bought supplies and fuel from the organization.
