Mark Zuckerberg is in Italy . Yesterday the founder and CEO of Facebook visited the city of Turin , stopping at some of the most famous tourist destinations of the Piedmontese capital: from the sarcophagi of the Egyptian Museum to the arcades of Via Roma, not even disdaining the treasures of local cuisine.

Lunch at the restaurant del Cambio , known for its Piedmontese agnolotti, and then a visit to the laboratories of Peyrano , a chocolate manufacturer.

Zuckerberg and his wife Priscilla visited Turin in the company of John Elkann. During the visit to the laboratories, the Zuckerbergs received the Interoperable Hot Chocolate kit as a gift, a one-off kit to create Peyrano hot chocolate both in the physical world and in the metaverse. “The challenge will be to understand how to bring these incredible perfumes into the metaverse, the technology is not yet developed as well as for the optics, but we will get there”.

In short, Zuckerberg’s obsession with the Metaverse would have motivated the pleasure trip to Italy (also) . Facebook, which today has taken the name of Meta, has abandoned the role of social media company to become a metaverse company .

Curiously, Zuckerberg did not post photos of his trip on social networks. A visit in great secrecy, which nevertheless inevitably captured the interest of the press. Before Turin, Mark and Priscilla Zuckerberg visited Siena, while in these hours they should be in Milan.
