YouTube adds a new feature for video corrections

Those who make videos on YouTube know it well, the mere fact of having said a sentence or even just simply a wrong word, since YouTube removed the possibility of putting a text in post production over the video, has forced the creators to have to delete and to reload the video to fix that minutia, leading to the loss of views, likes and comments. Furthermore, writing the correction in the comments could lead to many users not seeing it, thus acquiring incorrect information from the video in question.

That’s why YouTube is finally introducing, to the delight of all content creators, a new feature called “corrections” that will allow creators to easily add more obvious corrections without having to reload the video and lose all comments, views and likes. earned up to that moment and with a lot of effort and dedication.

After a video is uploaded, creators will be able to add corrections that will appear as information cards in the top right corner of a video at the relevant timestamp (but only, apparently, for the first time in a given video) . Viewers can then click the tab to expand the correction notes in the video description.

The new YouTube correction function will finally allow YouTubers to add corrections as information cards to their videos quickly and intuitively, but above all fast, considering the amount of work required to create content on the platform. You can view the complete instructions on how to add the above fixes and view a video description of the new feature from the YouTube Creator Insider channel here.

Google could also open YouTube to competing advertising platforms but not by its will, the company would have proposed it in an attempt to close a dispute with the EU. We talked about it in this article .
