Tesla closed yet another record-breaking quarter, despite the unfavorable economic climate. During the third quarter of 2022, the automaker produced 365,923 cars . Of these, 343,830 were delivered, the highest number in Tesla’s history.

Well the Model 3 and Model Y , which alone generate the vast majority of the manufacturer’s volumes: as many as 325,158 cars, with Model S and Model X occupying a smaller niche on the contrary (18,672 units, 20,000 cars produced). Moreover, during the month of August the Tesla Model Y was also the best-selling electric car in Europe – a result already achieved in the past. The Tesla Model 3 finished in the Top 10 , but below the vehicles of other European brands.

Tesla returned to growth after a second quarter that disappointed analysts and investors’ expectations. The numbers for the quarter just ended mark the maturity of the new plants in Europe and North America. One step at a time, the Berlin and Austin Gigafactories are increasing their production levels, approaching full operation.

It is not the only achievement by Tesla. A month ago, Euro NCAP promoted the Tesla Model Y giving it top marks on the security front.
