A few Warner Bros. Games has announced that the Open Beta of MultiVersus, the new free-to-play platform-style fighting game developed by Player First Games, is available in America, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand . Players from these regions can download the game on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 PS4, Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One and PC, with support for cross-play and netcode with rollback on dedicated servers to ensure solid online competition.

What is Multiversus

MultiVersus, which we previewed , brings together tons of beloved heroes and characters to team up with or compete with in epic battles, including Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman and Harley Quinn (DC); Shaggy and Velma (Scooby-Doo); Bugs Bunny and Taz the Tasmanian Devil (Looney Tunes); Arya Stark (Game of Thrones); Tom & Jerry (Tom & Jerry); Jake The Dog and Finn The Human (Adventure Time); ); Steven Universe and Garnet (Steven Universe), the Iron Giant (The Iron Giant); LeBron James (Space Jam: New Legends) ; Rick Sanchez and Morty Smith (Rick and Morty); an amazing creature known as Rendog and many more to come.

How does it work

The focus of the game is on cooperative gameplay. Each player has the ability to use different fighting techniques that stand out in the 2 vs 2 mode. This allows you to take advantage of customizable moves and combine them with those of other characters . From Wonder Woman and her Lasso of Truth which can be combined with Shaggy’s bullet sandwich, to Arya Stark’s face-changing ability which is complementary to Superman’s laser vision. The impossible will become possible thanks to the surprising combinations between the characters.

The modalities present

Players can experience MultiVersus in several ways. You can choose from the following modes: 2 vs. 2 ; 1 vs. 1, 4-player (free-for-all), co-op match against AI, custom online lobbies, the Workshop (training mode), tutorials and addition of local games with support for up to four players. Iconic environments are the backdrop to the hilarious multiplayer battles . These include the Batcave (DC), the Tree House (Adventure Time), Scooby’s Haunted Castle (Scooby-Doo), the Heavenly Arena (Steven Universe) and other unforgettable places.
