Negotiations to return to nuclear deal with Iran resume in Vienna

According to the news in the Iranian media, Ali Bakiri Kani, Iran’s chief negotiator, met with Enrique Mora, Deputy Secretary General and Political Director of the EU Foreign Relations Service. As in other talks, the United States will not negotiate directly with Iran. The parties will instead speak through Mora.

US Special Representative for Iran Robert Malley said in a statement on the subject on his social media account, “Our expectations are under control.” Mora also met with Ambassador Mikhail Ulyanov, Permanent Representative of Russia to the United Nations ( UN ) Vienna Office , representing Moscow at the meetings. “As always, we had an open, pragmatic and constructive exchange of views on ways and methods of overcoming the remaining problems,” Ulyanov said in a statement. Afterwards, Ulyanov also met with Kani.
Iran’s Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Nasser Kenani announced yesterday that Iran’s Chief Negotiator Ali Bakiri Kani and his delegation will go to Vienna and that nuclear negotiations will resume. Noting that the talks will continue under the EU coordination, Kenani said, “In these meetings, the last proposals of the parties regarding the negotiations will be evaluated. “We are ready for an agreement that protects and protects the interests of our people,” he said. Kenani said, “We can make rapid progress if other countries that are party to the agreement take a realistic approach in the negotiations and take a decision.”
In the nuclear negotiations between Iran and the USA to return to the nuclear agreement signed in 2015, the final proposal of the US administration regarding the agreement will be discussed. Finally, the nuclear negotiations in Qatar did not yield any results and the US administration accused Iran of not making a political decision. The Iranian administration, which states that it is ready to return to the nuclear agreement, wants assurances from the United States that the agreement will not be violated again.
