Apple’s first augmented reality headset is getting closer and closer. The product marks the beginning of a new ambitious season for the Cupertino giant and, also for this reason, the expectation of fans and the media is skyrocketing. It seems that by now we are: apparently the executives of the company have already tested a working prototype of the viewer firsthand.

A demonstration behind closed doors, which if nothing else shows that Apple by now would have solved some of the problems that had accompanied the development phase in recent months. Problems also arisen from important differences between Apple executives, engineers and designers. But now the big thing is done and Apple seems to be one step away from the goal. This means that Apple could actually introduce the product by the end of 2022.

Bloomberg’s well-known signature Mark Gurman claims that Apple has already achieved important milestones also on the software front. RealityOS , the operating system at the heart of Apple’s future ecosystem of AR / VR products, is already almost complete.

The journalist believes it is likely that the viewer will be presented by the end of 2022, but that for the actual launch it will be necessary to wait for the beginning of 2023 . This too is not new news: last November there was talk of this important gap between the date of presentation and that of the actual entry into the market. Apple will use these months to ignite the engines of the marketing machine .
