A powerbank exploded in a school in Milan , setting fire to a backpack and generating different smoke. Smoke that was then breathed in by some of the students in the classroom. It happened at the Vespucci hotel institute in Milan.
The common portable battery for charging smartphones overheated, causing the explosion. A very rare accident, but which can happen if the product is defective or of poor quality. Two of the students, both 15, were taken to hospital to ascertain possible intoxication. In total, the doctors visited eight other people, seven students and one teacher on site. Fortunately for them no further checks were needed.
